Good Day, Sunshine!
It's time to do this. And to do it ferreallll! The idea has been present for so long, whispering in seemingly inopportune times, but now is the time to finally start posting. As someone with an expert memory, remembering fun times and laughing along the way is one of my very favorite things, so I'm hoping this will be the perfect keepsake. I'm so ecstatic to call this wonderful sunshine life mine, and I'm excited to capture it, remember it. (points if you got the taylor swift reference). Aaaanyway, I'm in serious disbelief that my junior year of college (!!!) is just under three weeks from over. Crayzay. I want to remember all the fun, happy, sunshiney shenanigans with my best friends and adventures in independence and making my dreams come true...So here goes!

sitting by my [ginormous] tree all lit up and prettily decorated. sipping peppermint chocolate chai [a mix of chai & peppermint hot chocolate]. reading by the tree. sleeping in. driving around looking at lights with my family. baking christmas treats with my mom. consuming nearly everything peppermint. festive and super sparkly nails.

christmas shopping. family day trip to LA. pretty lights at the beverly wilshire and the grove. listening to non-stop christmas music [especially harry connick jr. and the carpenters]. lots of family time. yes, christmastime, you are magical.

Confetti of the Day
{Note: I started writing this a few weeks ago but have this tendency to be a perfectionist and didn't want to post it until I felt completely content with it. But hey, I'm not looking for perfection, I just want to document fun little parts of my life. So, here goes. And thankfully the weather's cooled down quite a bit.}
These little things have been making me so happy lately. Even though the weather is still lingering the 80s {so craazayy!}, these treats make me feel all cozy, comfy, and fall-y.

1. Pumpkin Spice Latte + Carmel Sauce: Oh. My. Gosh. So good. It combines some of my favorite flavors and brings the deliciousness of the pumpkin spice to a whole 'nother level. The nice Starbucks barista suggested using carmel sauce instead of carmel syrup, but I'm sure it would be great with both. It's the perfect early November drink, so I'm filling up before my peppermint cravings go into overdrive.

2. Tony Bennett Duets II: I've never been a Tony Bennett fan, but more like "Why is this guy on every Thanksgiving/Christmas special doing that fast-talking-slow-singing thing." Cut to a little while later when I was new to Spotify and noticed this particular album on the front page. Something in me whispered "give it a try" and boy, am I sure glad I did! My favorites are his duets with John Mayer, Carrie Underwood, and Michael Buble. It's the perfect autumn album for the not quite Christmas music time. Give it a listen why don't cha.
